Configuring Eudora Pro E-mail
Settings for All Clients
User Name: Complete e-mail address
Example: johndoe@kinetic.more.net
Server Settings: Use either POP or IMAP for
receiving (incoming) mail; use SMTP for sending
(outgoing) mail.
MOREnet Outgoing Server (SMTP)
SMTP (with authenticated SSL encryption)
All: smtp.kinetic.more.net
Authentication is by user name (complete e-mail address) and password using
SSL.
SSL uses port 465 or, in some clients, an alternate port.
MOREnet Incoming Servers (POP or IMAP)
POP, POP3 (no encryption)
eMINTS: pop.teachers.emints.org
All others: pop.yourdomainname |

eMINTS: imap.teachers.emints.org
All others: imap.yourdomainname |
Configuring SSL and Secure SMTP in Eudora Pro
The following instructions work with versions 5.2 and
above. Customers using older versions will need to upgrade.
- Start Eudora and click Tools > Options.
- Make sure the Allow authentication check box is selected.
- Click the Sending Mail icon on the left.
- In the Secure Sockets when Sending box, select Required,
STARTTLS.
Note: Eudora 6.2.1.2 users may need to set
this to Required, Alt Port.

Click OK.
- Send a test message to your new e-mail address.
- If the certificate error message displays, click Tools > Options.
Click the Sending Mail icon on the left.
- Click the Last SSL Info button.
- Click the Certificate Information Manager button.
- Select the MOREnet certificate US, Missouri, Columbia > MOREnet,
University of Missouri System > MOREnet,
smtp.kinetic.more.net. (It is next to a black skull and crossbones.)
- Click Add to Trusted.
- Click Done.
- Click OK.
- In the Options window, click OK.
